Jaydee models is proud to present a limited release of my 1/4 scale male nude torso demon sculpture. When approaching sculpting a new male torso, I wanted to have more than just an anatomy study, I wanted to portray power and presence. So delving into mythology and legends I was intrigued by the male demon the incubus.

This demon in legend slept with sleeping women, and was also interpreted as a demon that visits a person in there dreams. Taking this as my starting point I wanted portray demon as strong, brooding and powerful. I decided that his physique needed to be muscular and stocky, showing strength in the pose and movement in the body. For his face I wanted him to have a fierce but handsome look, attractive with more than a hint of menace.

Now to get that look was possibly the most difficult part of the whole sculpture but well worth the effort to get it right. The body has a beautiful deep skin texture, each pore was sculpted one at a time to get the look just right. For his color Ive painted him in an ancient bronze finish, subtle shades of light and dark brown bronze mixed with grey green bronze really contrast well together and gives the sculpture real presence. This process is time consuming but well worth the effort. As for the pose, hes moving forward and looking down at his next victim, for me this really adds a sense drama to the piece. Hes posed on top of an elegant sculpted rocky base.

Each sculpture is cast in very high quality polyurethane resin reproducing the original sculpture perfectly. Limited to 150 signed and numbered on the base. 12.5 cm (5 Inches). Keep checking back as more work will be released very soon.
